When I did my flugel design for DEG I used the reverse slide configuration. After that period I had Kanstul making my components with this configuration. Now that I have much better quality in my parts I decided to change the lower tuning branch to the more conventional inner/inner slide design. It works so well I hadn't given much thought to my original design but being the curious type that I am I made this horn with the reverse tuning branch configuration and took it to the last ITG where players thought it was quite good. After some thought the decision was made to stay with the inner/inner slide on the tuning branch as there really wasn't any difference in the way both played. The trigger was placed higher than on the others due to the tuning branch brace but it felt comfortable to my hands. It is brand new and priced where my other models are and only this one will be produced. Brush finished with clear lacquer and no case is supplied.
