I wanted to pay tribute to my old boss Harry James and replicate his original Selmer balanced trumpet that he played in his early years. I have an original 1939 Selmer balanced which was used for correct dimensions and the result is a horn that plays with the same, lush tone quality with improved response due to the modern components used. .465 bore and sterling silver leadpipe it is finished in gold tone lacquer similar to the original and is a joy to play. An added benefit with the balanced configuration is it requires the player to have an improved posture with the valves forward design. No case is supplied and it is available now at Washington Music Center. For more information call Lee Walkowich at (301) 946-8808 or email at leew@chucklevins.com
