Vintage Schilke Triple w/ Case Cover - $100
Full disclosure: There is a vintage aroma in the case.
NO KEYS
The case and cover are as described below. Case would be an excellent addition to your case arsenal, whether for active use or horn storage.
Latches work perfectly. Lots of energetic “spring” left in the latch springs!
No extra padding included. With extra padding of your own this case would hold a full-size trumpet and flugelhorn.
Both inner case sleeve dividers are easily and smoothly removed or inserted.
Condition:
- Case is in very good condition. Structural integrity is like it was brand-new. A few rough corners (see pics) but nothing that lessens its ability to carry and protect your horns. Lid and bottom close with perfect alignment.
- Case cover is in very good condition. A few small cuts and marks which came from the cover doing its job. (see pics)
- Inside of case cover shows some discoloration.
- Zippers work free and easy. Perfect condition. Once a year or so I would rub paraffin wax along the zipper teeth to ensure smooth action.
- “Schilke” adhesive tag on the inside of the case is in excellent condition.
- The metal “Schilke” tag is missing from the outside of the case.
- “Schilke” on the outside of the case cover has faded away.
Modifications (see or ask for pics):
- Added a Schilke handle to one of the sides, and cut the case cover to fit.
- Mouthpiece holders were removed.
- Added cord to the case cover zippers. Schilke case cover zipper handles are small, this makes them easier to grab.
- Added metal “feet” to the side of the case cover opposite the added handle to keep the cover from direct ground contact.
I have not used this case for several years. It’s been sitting in storage.
$100 for both - will not break up the set. More pics upon request.
Shipping. Anyone who have shipped anything recently knows that current shipping fees are outrageous. My guesstimate is $50 to ship this any distance. Buyer will pay that $50 upon purchase. If actual shipping is more - I’ll eat that. If it’s less I’ll refund the difference.
