Terrance Blanchard is not only a great player, but a very nice person as well. About 7 years ago, he was the headlining player at a jazz festival. I was in a group that was playing in that festival. About three fourths through our set, I noticed Terrance was out in the audience! He took the time afterwards to compliment my playing, which really helped my confidence. He didn't have to do that, especially considering I wasn't that good, but he chose to do so anyway. |

Hey Martin! I had the same type of reaction when that scene came up! I rented the movie and was watching it with my wife. After that scene, most of the remainder of the movie was a blur as I literally had tears in my eyes. I just sat in one place after the movie because I just could not MOVE!!! |

Talk about a beautifully sad life. Chet Baker, man. I would love to read his bio. |

Hey about this embouchure change that Terence went through. Anybody know any details, like what he changed from and what to? Any info would be appreciated. He sat in for Al Chez on Letterman about a month and a half ago. He sounded awesome. Chez, in my opinion is blatty at times, but Blanchard had the range and sounded so much more together. |
