Perception of your own time while actually playing can be significantly later than the way it would sound to you if you were just listening. I've been there myself... You feel and hear the time, and RESPOND to it instead of being part of it. A good place to start is recording, and everybody listens to the recording. Continue with that until it's together. The sound and feel of being WITH the pulse is very different that the sound and feel of responding to it. |
