I have recently found two vintage Bach Corp. 2-1/2C mouthpieces with an undercut where the cup is slightly larger under the cup entrance. If you happen to have one of these, I'd be interested in purchasing it...
Thanks!!!

Curious how the cutters they used could accomplish that. _________________ The name I go by in the real world is Joe Lewis |

I first saw the technique used by Scott Laskey at Schilke. He would often use it for people who wanted just a skoch more room... |

So was this modification done after the initial production? _________________ The name I go by in the real world is Joe Lewis |

On the Bachs, I don't know; I have two that are pretty identical. And the chances of finding two 1970s mouthpieces altered exactly the same seem slim.
