Any leads to an arrangement would be appreciated. Here is a version with orchestra just for your listening pleasure.

There are many - what specifically are you looking for? Band, brass quintet, Orch, trumpet solo, trumpet solo and piano? Thanks for reminding me of this piece. |

This is the composer playing it the way he intended it to be played. He wanted to shake things up and free tango from its traditions. Why are the trumpet versions so bland?

Because they're not bandoneon? |

I only managed a minute of that. Just a row to me. Prefer the trumpet versions. _________________ "Nearly as good as I need to be. Not nearly as good as I want to be".

Wow. Most of the contemporary versions I've heard are almost emasculated when contrasted with this. I will say, though, that even though today's interpretations are far afield, it's still a stand-alone haunting and beautiful melody. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." I like the original Piazzolla posted by Mr Olds quite a bit. Here is one of my (other) favorite versions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnyAgOWhMnk
The trumpet versions are fine too, though the Guiffredi version posted in the beginning is not so much to liking — strange arrangement for my taste. _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence
