| After 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, I retired in early 2008. My retirement gift from my wife was a sizeable down payment for another trumpet, as I had played a Severinsen Model Eterna by Getzen in high school and college. My exhaustive search finally ended recently when I located an exact duplicate Severinsen Model from the mid-70's. Serial number was SK23XXX, only 633 from my original Getzen. The condition is immaculate--actually looks brand new and, of course, the valves are still to die for. The original owner(s), whoever he/she/they was/were, took great strides to keep this instrument in top condition. Yeah for me! |
