This is a special trumpet! This has been in the NSO family since the 1970s. It belonged to a former principal of the orchestra. I had Charlie Melk cut down and install a Yamaha MC1 (Chicago) lead pipe to this trumpet which had a positive effect on playability. This trumpet has the old school German rotary sound with modern playability! Selling because we don't use rotary much at NSO and I have another D rotary I have used when things like Beethoven 7 have come up. I wouldn't hesitate to use this on Beethoven 7 or similar pieces if I didn't have another option!
