Im looking for some posters of female brass players, especially low brass. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I didn't come up with much through my google-ing. Thanks |

Hmm, there are lots and lots. I'm surprised you had any trouble Googling. Just quickly off the top of my head:
Trumpet:
Ingrid Jensen
Laurie Frink
Tine Thing Helseth
Alison Balsom
Karin Bliznik
French Horn:
Gail Williams
Sarah Willis
Trombone:
Abbie Conant
Amanda Davidson
Tuba:
Carol Jantsch
-
Also, they're not household names, but at least here in Toronto, there are probably just as many female freelance brass players as male, and a rising number holding prestigious positions. |

Hey Steve A, yep lots of fantastic female brass players around for sure, but Im looking to purchase some posters for my band room. I could print pic's off the internet but they wouldn't be posted sized unless I made a collage. I have lots of old Yamaha artist posters, but they are all males, and there really are not that many female Yamaha artists on the Yamaha site(compared to male). |

Sorry - evidently I didn't read carefully enough. Carol Jantsch is a Yamaha artist, and I wouldn't be super surprised if Yamaha would have some promotional material available. I've certainly seen lots of Yamaha posters around, and an email to say what you want it for might be enough to get them to send you a poster. http://www.yamaha.com/artists/caroljantsch.html
Similarly, I wouldn't be surprised if getting in touch with IMG Music about a Tine Thing Helseth poster would similarly be an option: https://imgartists.com/roster/tine-thing-helseth/
I didn't think of her before, but Kiku Collins would be another possibility. Her website suggests emailing for hi res photos, and could plausibly lead to something printed also. (Or at least let her/her representatives know there's an interest.) http://www.kikucollins.com/ |

I would check with Yamaha, Getzen, Bach, Schilke etc. I am sure they have promotional posters as I have seen some of the Yamaha Artist. _________________ Schilke X3 Bb trumpet

I'm assuming nonchalant is a band director? What a great idea, and welcome to TH! |
