Richiebee is right. I can tell you what the right horn for me is. But that's not what you asked - you want the right horn for you.

One thing I would recommend is to try and play a horn you are interested in for a while, ideally with your endemble. A horn that you really like after 5 minutes may not be so great after a few hours.

An aspiring high note player huh??? What is this world coming to? Doesn't anyone want to make music anymore???

Here's some advice for you....FWIW!!!
1.) Dont put yourself in one bag!
2.) Learn a characteristic study out of the Arban!
3.) Learn the Haydn!
4.) Learn your scales inside out...
5.) Transcribe any trumpet solo over a Ballad!
6.) Learn that there is 99% of trumpet playing that you are missing out on by trying to be a "high note player"....
7.) Take lessons with Vizzutti....or PH....or any trumpet player you are interested in....
8.) Join a band!
9.) Take a solo...
10.) REFER BACK TO #6 TEN TIMES!!!

It's great that you want to learn the upper register....BUT in the REAL WORLD so many trumpet players can play high notes past Dubba C and play solos like Freddie or Brecker and can play the Arban's by memory... GET MY POINT???? Learn to play your trumpet well and you can be anything that you want to be...."lead" player and all!

P.S. The horn you are playing right now has all the high notes you want inside of it....you just have to find them!
