I am wondering what mouthpiece would be the best to play legit on a Callet Jazz. I play a bmv 2 for other trumpets. But do i need a different mouthpiece to darken the sound a little.

The mouthpiece you are using now should be fine. I use a Monette B2 on my Callet Jazz and really like the sound. I have found, however, that larger mouthpieces on this horn can make attacks a little slippery.

Try Curry mouthpieces: http://www.currympc.com
I think they are great for legit. The "legit" sound is very easy to produce on them.

With the Callet Jazz, I use my DT-10 or GR e62MS. Sometimes, I reach for a Callet Opera2 for more legit stuff.

A different sound on a Jazz may not require a different mouthpiece. You could try to play softer(less air) and see if that helps. The Jazz is a great all around horn and if it is pushed it can hurt someone on the other end of the horn...hehe...but lay back a little and it may do the job. If not then try a little deeper cup and keep everything else the same.
Hope this helps.....
