My tuning crook does NOT have round tubing. It is more oval-shaped. It has also been flattened somehow, which is why I was wondering if the tubing is supposed to be round, or oval shaped? The tubing that fits into the leadpipe is round of course. I am referring to the actual tuning crook tubing. |

What year model is your 80-A? On mine (1 1967 model and 2 1965 models) they are all round, not oval. |

Tom, where ya at? His is a late '30's model, and he may be able to answer this for you. I got to play his a few weeks ago, but didn't notice if the tubing was oval. |

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. I've been swamped lately!
Tubing is round, and so it is on my '39 Victor too. I suspect the '38 became oval in some sort of accident.
Sincerely,
