Ya' know, that small ding must have really hurt when it happened.
Question, would Monette remove that ding if you sent it to them, or would you have to send it to another non-Monette repair place?

Yeah...and it looks like a brushed gold finish too. Or is it just tricky lighting? |

I have a book with a couple of photos of Wynton Marsalis and his Monette and another photo of him holding all his trumpets in his arms...and they are all dented and banged up. Actually when I have seen him in small clubs, his horn is far from perfect. Its all about priorities I suppose...and of course he comes from a town where most of the players use well played instruments to say the least. Ahh, but the sound of thier music is often perfect. Meanwhile, what does one of these go for new??? kpb |

I guess Wynton probably doesn't mind dents and dings on his horns since he probably doesn't pay for them; but if I pay $6K-$8K on a horn I want it to be dent free forever. But I'll probably never have the tone to warrant such a horn anyway so I'll just stick with my Schilke.
I sure would like to try one though. _________________ Allen - 'Chops-in-Hotlanta'
