You must have cared enough to post, huh? I wouldn't post on (or for that matter even READ) a cricket thread. Why do you baseball haters seem to feel the need to hijack every baseball thread out there and say how no one outside the US cares? You may be right. So what? If you don't care, move on.

Cos it's just so rubbish a game! But you guys seem so enthralled by it, we don't get why! In the words of Homer Simpson "Hey, without beer, baseball is really boring!"

Mike, Actually USA were in the WCC, briefly!

It goes both ways there Clarino. Many of us here in America don't understand the fascination with Cricket, Soccer and Rugby across the pond in Europe. To each his own. I dont get the fascination with American Football here in my own country and don't even get me started on the lameness of basketball. But that's the beauty of sports. We all have our fav for our own reasons. Much like music!

Now let us Baseball lovers enjoy our un-enthralling, rubbish of a game in peace.

Anyone who thinks that the Cubbies and Red Sox won't figure out a way to choke AGAIN is just plain dreamin'.

WS will be NY vs STL, with the Cards winning in 6.

Trumpjosh, I await your response.

I played cricket in grad school. I knew a bunch of very nerdy Indian Math Phds who needed a warm body. Since I am very nerdy myself my body was warm enough. It was sort of fun.
The town I live in is/was home to a lot of the 90s high tech boom in Massachusetts and there are a enough Indians living here to form a cricket league. I've watched it but I really need it explained to me

NY won't get there this year, I don't think. Personally, I am rooting for the Twins to take them out. Which pitching staff would you want in a 5 game series? Also, that way the Sox might actually get by the ALCS only to choke in game 7 of the WS to the Cards. I think that is the most likely scenario. I hope I'm wrong (although not about the Yankmees).

The Red Sox and the Cubs sounds good on the surface, but then there would be no "bad guy" to root against. Two underdogs might not be that great.

Not to stick up for Cubs fans, but I think they have gone longer without a championship. Of course, that's because their teams have been absolutely terrible for many years. "Let's play two!"... and lose them both... lol. I think they'd be lucky even to get in this year the way they are playing. This should be an interesting week.

Dude, you're luck your 2/3 of a continent away ......Why don't you go back to shoving 3lb. Burrito's down your pie hole and let a brother mourn in peace!

At least the Cubs were in a position to lose something (or maybe win one of these years). I heard the Brewer's players are now doubling as Beer vendors. "Get your ice cold Pabst here.....peanuts...hot dogs....."

Um, not for long I don't think. Enjoy the half-week of gloating. Both your teams really looked terrific yesterday, huh?
