I just saw it. A great video.
The trumpet he is playing in this concert appears to be a Selmer Eb.
I bet this concert was filmed in the 80's.

That's a beautiful cadenza at the end. Don't stop it too early.

For such a great player I don't like the fact he uses the same cadenza. I have two recordings recorded ten years apart and it's the same as this one which is later.

Here's an earlier cadenza for you:

Honestly, I like his "signature" one, and it is a recognizable classic. Hakan Hardenberger even quotes it in his own cadenza

It's curious that the subtitles at 0:17 list it as being in F-dur. Someone is thinking in reference to the Bb instrument?

I like the cadenza, i would prefer if did other ones. I never saw him do this live so I can't say he did something else in concert.

when Maurice plays, butter and honey covered angels fly jubilantly out of the bell tossing about turkey club sandwiches, candies, and wads of cash. LOVE Maurice.

Interesting he plays middle-of-the-staff C 2-3 in several places - for intonation I suppose.

Such a great player.
