Still doing tweaking.

It's optimized for Internet Explorer. Curious to know what it looks like on other browsers.

Looks good, Jeff. It's a bit pessimized for Firefox on my XP. The text runs over the Copyright notice at the bottom.

Hey Herb,

Pessimized? That's a new one for me.

I can easily lower the copyright notices. The trick is knowing how far.

Is that the only issue?

IE7/Vista all seems perfect.

On an Ipod Touch (==Iphone) with Safari the front page main LH text runs over the RH panels. Haven't browsed through every page on my Ipod yet so don't know if there are any other issues.

The chicken cartoons are seriously cool - they alone are worth visiting the site for! I really hope you will have some more.

Looks OK with Windows 7 / IE8.

My comment is that I would have preferred that you let the top menuline stay on every page, so you could more easily switch between the menu choices without the need for pressing "Home" or Back.

I agree with Karjo49. I think the website would feel more unified of the top menu bar was available on every page. I also emailed you a few more comments late last night Jeff.

Otherwise, it's coming along nicely!

Thanks for the new website, Jeff. I use Firefox in Ubuntu Linux. Everything looks fine (all text legible, nothing overlapping, etc).

Thanks everyone, for all the feedback! I've lowered some graphics to help with Firefox compatability.

Matthew, nice to hear that Linux seems OK.

Not the case, with iphone, I'm sorry to say. But I found out that lots of web sites have problems with that.

Linux is not a problem, what you need to check if different browsers, no matter mac, windows or linux.

No, it's still not flowing correctly in Firefox on Linux, Mac, or Windows XP. A content management system, like Wordpress and many others, makes site creation a snap. And stay away from WYSIWYG design tools.

It's looking better, Jeff. Firefox still has problems. The home page is sort of fixed: the text doesn't run over the copyright notice. It does run over its box, however. The testimonials page is still pessimized by the text running over the copyrights.

I think your web page builder only works for Internet Explorer. You will always have do a lot of tweaking for other browsers. I'm sure that there are other WYSIWYG web page builders that work the popular browsers. However, you may not want to change horses now.

I agree that the links to other pages should be a header on all the pages. These are not terrible complaints. You are a valuable trumpet/brass teacher, not a professional web page author.

A new article is now up, which completes the series that I had initailly planned.

It's called "I Am Not A Guru," and covers some of the roots of BE philosophy.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Even when we don't share the exact point of view, I learn something.

As Herb mentioned, it is doubtful that I will ever resolve all browser compatability issues. I like the software I'm using, and don't plan on switching any time soon. But, I will do my best to respond to things that I can actually fix. So please, let me know how it looks.

How is it on Safari? How about Chrome?

Regarding the menu on every page, I purposely decided to not do it. I like the non-cluttered look of websites who keep menus to a minimum. However, I'm still open to changing it down the road.

Again, thanks!

On firefox on Linux (Mint 7) it looks fine, but in Opera it is a right mess.

On the opening page the left text block runs outside the white area. On the order page the order details run through the last paragraph. Other pages have similar issues of text blocks partially shown on top of each other.

How many potential customers use this particular combo? Probably 1% or less... And maybe 1% of those will be put off by it.

Still, if you have a lot of spare time to waste or a nerdy nephew who wants to fool around with it it wouldn't hurt.

In Safari it is pretty much OK. Some heads are over pictures, though, for instance on the chicken page.

Love the 'guru' text. That is how I think of it, too. At the same time I'd liked it to be a bit more than that....ego.

I also love the ghuru text, and the strength vs. leverage text was excellent. Good work, Jeff.

I skimmed it quickly on IE7 and IE8 -- worked fine, looks nice, plenty of new info, loads fast. Great job, Jeff! - Don

The site looks great with the much needed update!

My only suggestion, to echo others, would be to include the home-page navigation bar/links in the content pages so you would not have to go back to "home" to get to the other sections. - vicp
