Hello!
Just received shipment of this horn. Love it! But I do have a question.
This horn has a screw underneath the third valve slide. Is this supposed to be a stop screw of some kind? I wonder because it doesn't make contact with the slide. There is no rubber tip on it. If it is a stop, I'd think there would be one to avoid scratching the finish if it were to make contact.
No biggie. But I'm a Benge/Kanstul guy and haven't seen this type of feature before.
Thanks. _________________ Getzen 900 DLX

Tim,
That is a third slide stop screw. It is intended to make contact with a ring soldered on the end of the upper slide tube. It does not limit the throw of the slide like some. Instead it is meant to just prevent the slide from coming off. When screwed in all the way, it should not contact the slide tube to prevent damaging the finish or the tube. If you need to remove the slide, simply unscrew the screw until there is enough room to pass the ring by it.
I hope that makes sense. _________________ Brett Getzen
